Baste

To prepare for the fitting phase, baste stitch all your darts and seams. For shirts, it is helpful to baste an extra long zipper into the center back (CB).

Fit

To fit your garment, use safety pins to pinch out the areas of excess, or let out areas that are too tight. Transfer the fit adjustments to paper.

Sew

After you have cut your fashion fabric, sew the darts, seams, and edges.
